Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of the Pre-Service Education and In-Service Education programs in an effort to improve the professionalism of Early Childhood Education (ECED) teachers in Pemalang District. Teacher professionalism is a crucial element in the implementation of quality early childhood education. The research method applied was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the Pre-Service Education program provides a basic foundation of competencies for prospective ECD teachers through formal education, while In-Service Education contributes to the improvement of advanced competencies through training, workshops and other professional development activities. The two programs support each other and have a positive effect on improving ECD teachers' professional knowledge, skills and attitudes.
